The International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental and Reinforcing Ironworkers was created on February 4th, 1896. Since then it has continuously grown, bringing together over 125 000 men and women Ironworkers in North America.
To successfully provide quality service to members and employers, the Association is divided into 19 geographic and demographic areas, called District Council. These are composed by the 191 Local Union of the International Association.
In Eastern Canada, the Locals have a provincial jurisdiction. Those representing the provinces of Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and the province of Newfoundland and Labrador are grouped together to form the District Council of Eastern Canada.
The members of our affiliated Local Unions are recognized across North America for their skills and productivity. On this website, you will find all the necessary resources to access this efficient, competent and dedicated workforce.
